Switching from Sage Fixed Assets
Moving off Sage Fixed Assets without losing a cent of history.
Sage Fixed Assets registers convert cleanly: the books map one to one, and the export carries prior depreciation. The work is in the details, and the details are listed below.
What we need from you
The Sage Fixed Assets asset export with all books (Custom Export, all fields), the Depreciation Expense report and the Disposal report for the last closed year, and the Form 4562 from the last return.

| Disposals and transfers | Events with dates | Loaded from the history export |
| Child and parent assets (where used) | Parent and component | Recreated; a known gap in Sage reporting |
| Crystal Reports custom reports | SQL reports | Rewritten on request; the standard set usually covers them |
How the tie-out works
- You send the export and your last filed schedule. We confirm the file within one business day and give you a fixed conversion quote.
- We load every asset with prior accumulated depreciation in each book. Methods, lives, conventions and elections are mapped, not re-derived, so history is preserved exactly.
- You run the last closed year in parallel. Our reconciliation report lists cost, accumulated depreciation and current-year expense by account and by book against your filed figures.
- Differences are explained before go-live. Each one is documented with the cause, usually a rounding rule or a convention setting in the old system. You keep the reconciliation for your auditor.
- Go live with the same account manager. Five to seven business days from the file to the parallel run.
Things to know
Reviewers of Sage Fixed Assets describe custom reporting as a separate Crystal Reports purchase and note that the transfer report omits asset numbers. Both are standard here.
If you are moving because of the Sage Fixed Assets subscription price, note that the difference between our plans and the figures third-party sites quote for Sage varies with your asset count; the pricing page states ours.
Cost
Quoted on the export; most registers under 5,000 assets convert for a fixed fee set after we see the file.
