Switching from Bloomberg Tax
Leaving Bloomberg Tax Fixed Assets with every book and every year intact.
Bloomberg Tax Fixed Assets is built for multi-entity tax departments and stores many books per asset. We convert the books you use and keep the ones you might, at no per-asset charge.
What we need from you
The asset detail export for each book you use, the current-year and prior-year depreciation reports, the disposal report, and the last filed Form 4562 by entity.

How the tie-out works
- You send the export and your last filed schedule. We confirm the file within one business day and give you a fixed conversion quote.
- We load every asset with prior accumulated depreciation in each book. Methods, lives, conventions and elections are mapped, not re-derived, so history is preserved exactly.
- You run the last closed year in parallel. Our reconciliation report lists cost, accumulated depreciation and current-year expense by account and by book against your filed figures.
- Differences are explained before go-live. Each one is documented with the cause, usually a rounding rule or a convention setting in the old system. You keep the reconciliation for your auditor.
- Go live with the same account manager. Five to seven business days from the file to the parallel run.
Things to know
Reviewers of Bloomberg Tax Fixed Assets report per-asset pricing and a choice between losing history and paying to keep fully depreciated assets. Our plans count asset records but charge nothing extra for fully depreciated ones, and the plan price is on the pricing page.
Reviewers also describe Excel exports that need cleanup before use. Our Excel exports carry numbers as numbers with no merged cells.
Cost
Quoted on the export. Multi-state registers with many state books take longer to reconcile and are quoted accordingly.
