Switching

Your history comes with you. All of it, in every book, reconciled to what you filed.

The reason people stay on fixed-asset software they dislike is the fear of losing depreciation history in the move. Conversion is done by our staff, reconciled against your last filed schedule, and documented for your auditor. This page explains the process; the pages below explain the specifics for each system.

What is preserved

  • Cost, in-service date, class, location, department, GL accounts, custom fields
  • Method, life, convention and salvage in each book
  • Prior accumulated depreciation in each book, as filed
  • Section 179 and bonus taken in prior years, and elect-outs
  • Disposal and transfer history with dates
  • Fully depreciated and disposed assets, at no extra charge

What we will tell you honestly

Two systems rarely round the same way. The parallel run finds the cents and we document each one. If your old system carried an error into a filed return, we will show it to you rather than reproduce it silently, and you decide whether to match the return or correct it going forward.

Conversion is priced on the file, quoted once, and the quote does not move.

Try it on your own register.

The 14-day trial is the full product. Load a spreadsheet of your assets, run a schedule, and compare it with what you filed. No card is needed.
