One register. Four books. Every event in an asset's life, recorded once.

Fixed Asset Desk is the fixed-asset subledger for organisations that keep between a few hundred and ten thousand assets and have to defend the numbers to an auditor, a tax authority or a board. It replaces the depreciation spreadsheet, the separate tax workpaper and the annual scramble to reconcile the two.

What it does

Calculates depreciation in four books

Book, federal, state and AMT, each with its own method, life, convention and first-year elections. MACRS GDS and ADS, ACRS, straight line, declining balance, sum of the years' digits, units of production and user-defined tables. Section 179, bonus depreciation with the 100% rate restored for property acquired after 19 January 2025, listed-property limits, and state decoupling handled as rules.

Records every event

Additions from A/P, construction in progress that capitalises on completion, whole and partial transfers between locations, departments, entities and GL accounts, whole and partial disposals with gain or loss and recapture, leased assets with their payment schedules, and revaluations. Every change is logged with the user, the date and the reason.

Produces the reports your auditor asks for

More than twenty standard reports, including the roll-forward by account, depreciation by period in any book, tax versus book reconciliation, Form 4562 worksheet, state reports, disposals with recapture, projections and property-tax listings. One-step export to PDF, Excel, Word or CSV. Custom reports in SQL against a documented schema.

Posts to your general ledger

Export depreciation and disposal entries to the GL in the file format your accounting system imports, with the account mapping you define once. Import additions from your A/P system or from Excel, fixed-length or delimited files, with validation before anything is written. Barcode inventory counts reconcile the floor to the register.

What is included in every plan
